Note: If you (individual or business entity) surrendered an Arizona insurance license, you cannot apply for an Arizona insurance license for one year. If you surrendered a line of license authority from an insurance license, you cannot apply for the same license authority for a year. ARS § 20–289(F). |
Requirement for Business Entities
- An Arizona corporation or limited liability company (LLC) must be established through the Arizona Corporation Commission [http://www.cc.state.az.us/Divisions/Corporations/ (602) 542-3026] and must furnish articles of incorporation or articles or organization with the license application.
- An Arizona limited partnership must be register with the Arizona Secretary of State [www.azsos.gov; (602) 542-6187] and include a copy of the partnership agreement and a copy of the certificate of registration with the license application.
- An Arizona-resident business trust must submit a copy of the filed and recorded trust agreement with the license application.
- A nonresident corporation or limited liability company may need to obtain permission from the Arizona Corporation Commission [http://www.cc.state.az.us/Divisions/Corporations/) (602) 542-3026] to engage in business in Arizona.
- A nonresident limited partnership may need to register with the Arizona Secretary of State [www.azsos.gov; (602) 542-6187] to engage in business in Arizona.
